My team and operations director have been working on this deal for a couple of months now and today it all pays off. We’ve just completed on the acquisition of Browns Garden Buildings, a company that manufactures prefab buildings, garages, extensions and garden rooms.

Our relationship with the previous owner has been absolutely critical to the success of the execution of this deal. He went the extra mile to help in information gathering exercises, and even helped sort things over the weekends to push the seller-side solicitors leading up to completion day (we all know how solicitors can be). Our relationship with our solicitors at Ison Harrison Solicitors as well as our accountants at Elementary Accountancy Services meant that our deal team were super responsive and fast acting, jumping on the [many] issues you encounter with deals as complicated as this.

I can’t stress how important relationships and keeping stakeholders local is. It could be the difference between a deal going smoothly or not happening at all.

Now, onto the next acquisition that we are targeting for completion by the end of this week that is twice the size of this one… more to follow!
