Kurt Heron my new Finance Director

I’m very happy to welcome another member to the family at Winch & Co – Kurt Heron, my new Finance Director.

I’m so happy to welcome Kurt Heron to Winch & Co as my new finance director, who has a strong background in financial services, having worked as Head of SME at Barclays Bank, as well as working in senior financial roles at the Lloyds Banking Group and the University of Durham.

Kurt’s strong financial background will help lead the finance function here at Winch & Co, working as a key part of the management and due diligence teams to help identify, qualify, process and complete on our acquisitions and every-day transactions. As Finance Director, he will be tasked with overseeing all financial activities and monthly reporting of the group companies, training accounting staff, managing the outsourced accountant(s), budgeting, financial forecasting for both new acquisition transactions as well as incumbent companies, managing risk, implementing policies and improving financial processes. Kurt arrives to the business adding another layer of professionalism from his corporate career in banking, becoming the first point of contact for our funding partners. He will work from both our head office in Leeds, as well as the newly refurbished offices in Cramlington, County Durham.

Kurt said: “I’m really looking forward to working with Nathan, Shaun, Debra and the wider Winch & Co management team. I’m eager to add value to an already sophisticated operation; together we can really level up the types of deal-making that the business does.”

Another outstanding individual as part of my management team at Winch & Co, that we are all looking forward to working with now and in the future.
